Single Girder Overhead Crane Exported to Turkmenistan: Used for Galvanizing Workshop

This project involves a customized single girder overhead crane for a galvanizing plant in Turkmenistan. The crane is used in a galvanizing workshop for the stable lifting and transportation of long-sized light poles and similar workpieces along the production line and to the galvanizing bath area.

Considering the corrosive galvanizing environment and long-material handling requirements, we customized a double-trolley single girder overhead crane with anti-corrosion features. Each crane is equipped with two electric hoists and upgraded with an IP55 motor, Class H insulation system, stainless steel electrical control box, galvanized steel wire rope, and acid-resistant anti-corrosion coating, improving reliability and durability in highly corrosive environments.

Production and inspection were completed approximately 30 days after drawing confirmation, and shipment to the designated port was arranged within 7 days after packaging, effectively meeting the customer's production schedule.

The equipment is required to operate long-term in a galvanizing environment with high humidity and high acid mist concentration. The single girder overhead crane must provide excellent corrosion resistance and reliable electrical performance to effectively withstand the impact of corrosive conditions on motors, electrical controls, and structural components, ensuring long-term stable operation.

Stable Handling of Long-Sized Materials

The crane is required to stably lift and transport long-sized light poles and similar workpieces to the galvanizing bath area. The lifting system must provide reliable load control to minimize the risks of material swinging, tilting, and collision during operation.

Anti-Corrosion Design for Galvanizing Workshop

• The motor adopts an IP55 protection rating, effectively preventing dust, moisture, and acid mist from entering the motor. This design is particularly suitable for the high-humidity and highly corrosive conditions of galvanizing workshops, improving motor operating stability and extending service life.
• The motor is equipped with Class H insulation, offering excellent heat resistance to withstand long-term high-temperature radiation in hot-dip galvanizing workshops. This design effectively slows insulation aging, reduces the risk of overheating-related motor failures, and improves operational safety and durability.
• The electrical control box is made of IP55-rated stainless steel, providing excellent corrosion, moisture, and dust resistance. It effectively protects electrical components from acid mist and humid environments in galvanizing workshops, ensuring long-term stable and reliable control system operation.
• The crane uses galvanized steel wire rope, which significantly improves rust resistance in humid and corrosive environments. Compared with standard wire rope, it helps reduce corrosion and wire breakage, extending service life and lowering maintenance costs.
• The crane steel structure is coated with acid-resistant anti-corrosion paint, effectively resisting acid mist and chemical corrosive substances generated during the galvanizing process, significantly enhancing corrosion resistance and long-term durability.
• The crane power supply system adopts an angle steel conductor system, which provides better corrosion resistance, more stable electrical conductivity, and a longer service life than conventional conductor rails. This design is especially suitable for the high-humidity and highly corrosive operating conditions of galvanizing workshops.

Dedicated Lifting Solution for Long-Sized Materials

Conventional single girder overhead cranes typically use a single-hoist lifting structure, which can lead to load imbalance, end tilting, and material collision or deformation when handling long-sized workpieces. This makes it difficult to place materials accurately and smoothly into the galvanizing bath, affecting galvanizing quality and increasing safety risks such as material falling. To address this, we equipped each crane with two electric hoists to ensure stable lifting of long-sized materials.

• Each single girder overhead crane is equipped with two 5t electric wire rope hoists, which can operate synchronously or independently.
• When operating synchronously, the two electric wire rope hoists can be positioned at both ends of long-sized materials, ensuring balanced load distribution and maintaining stable, level lifting throughout the operation. This effectively solves the tilting and swinging issues commonly associated with single-hoist, single-point lifting.
• When operating independently, the two electric wire rope hoists can handle different small workpieces separately, improving operational flexibility and overall workshop productivity.

Project Results

• Efficient Delivery: After final drawing approval, the project completed the production, inspection, and packaging of 5 single girder overhead cranes and a full set of accessories within approximately 30 days, followed by shipment to the designated port within 7 days after packaging. Smooth coordination between production and logistics effectively supported the customer's production line commissioning schedule and ensured timely project progress.
• Stable Material Handling: Each overhead crane was equipped with two 5-ton electric wire rope hoists, enabling both synchronous and independent operation modes. During long-material handling, the system ensured balanced load distribution and precise positioning, effectively meeting the lifting requirements for galvanizing bath loading and other long-material handling applications.
• Reliable Operation: To adapt to the high-humidity and highly corrosive galvanizing workshop environment, the equipment was upgraded with an IP55 motor, Class H insulation system, stainless steel electrical control box, galvanized steel wire rope, and acid-resistant coating. These protective measures improved environmental adaptability and reduced maintenance frequency.
• Safe Transportation: Standardized export packaging and transportation solutions were adopted, with separate protective packaging for the main girder, end carriage, electric hoists, and electrical components. This minimized the risks of moisture and collision during long-distance transportation, ensuring smooth installation and commissioning upon arrival.
