Applications of explosion-proof wire rope electric hoists

Explosion-proof hoists are widely used in hazardous areas prone to fires and explosions, such as in the oil, petrochemical, gas stations, oil depots, gas extraction, chemical, pharmaceutical, food processing, shipbuilding, offshore, liquefied natural gas, military, electricity, mining, electronics, and railway sectors.

When operating in explosive gas environments, the working area for the explosion-proof hoist is classified as Zone 1 or Zone 2 according to GB 3836.14-2000.

Note: Zone 1: Places where explosive gas atmospheres may occur Zone 2: Places where an explosive gas atmosphere is unlikely to occur. If it does occur, it is only occasional and for a short duration.

When operating in combustible dust environments, the working area for the explosion-proof hoist is classified as Zone 21 or Zone 22 according to GB 12476.3-2007.

Note: Zone 21: Places where mixtures of combustible dust and air may occur. Zone 22: Occasions where combustible dust appears occasionally and exists only for a short duration.
