At the beginning of the project, the customer inquired about a gantry crane, since there was no existing column, bracket, or runway beam to support an overhead crane. A gantry crane seemed to be the more straightforward installation solution.

However, after careful discussion, we proposed an overhead crane with a specially designed steel support structure. Compared with a gantry crane, this solution allowed the columns to be placed close to the wall, which maximized the available working space. At the same time, the investment cost was more economical than that of a gantry crane.

After evaluating the technical and economic advantages, the customer decided to proceed with the overhead crane solution. The order was finally confirmed, and the crane has now been successfully delivered to Uruguay.
